Artist models - Art

Georgia O'Keeffe:

I've chosen Georgia O'Keeffe because I really like her colour pallet, and the natural images she paints. She paints a lot of flowers and natural scenery. The things that I have taken inspiration from  out of Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings is the floral imagery, and on the first side of my board I used a pastel colour palette. 

Barbara Kruger: 

I've also chosen Barbara Kruger because I liked her composition and use of red, black and white. For the second side of my board I have used her colour pallet and similar composition styles, like the text words, and red stripes. Our artwork also has similar themes.

Folio Board - Art

The theme I have chosen for my folio board is Women's Rights. The idea I'm focusing on is women's education and women in the workforce. The two mediums I want to focus on are painting, and drawing. some of the symbolism I will use in my artwork are flowers, specifically  white camellias because they were very symbolic to suffragettes in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I would like my folio to have a very pastel, pink and girly theme, because it is supposed to focus on girls and women.
