I chose these prints because they were dark, and  manly shadows.

4: What is German expressionism?

German expressionism is an extremely emotional type of art that was very popular during world war one. The artists during this time were painting about the people who lived in poverty, and sadness. The images were often of people with distorted features, showing the emotions they felt. At this point Germany was basically being isolated from the rest of the world, meaning they didn’t have access to pop culture going on in other places of the world, so they made their own, which started the German expressionism movement.
